E. Chapman Avenue, for eastbound traffic between Cambridge

received a grant in excess of $433,000 from the California
Office of Traffic Safety which funds a fielding a team of
two full-time officers whose sole responsibility is to identify
and arrest intoxicated or impaired drivers. The grant provides
for handheld scanners to read driver’s licenses and
assist in completing reports and citations, as well as a new
